Another look (listen?) for our interview with Jason McKenna of VEX Robotics - now with video!
Hello everyone!
Two weeks ago, our video editing software, website, and podcast distribution all went down in the same week. (Each for their own reasons).
Since then, we have purchased and installed not just new video editing software, but also updated audio and color management systems as well. However, this means the show is in a bit of a hiatus as I figure out how to operate all this shiny new software!
The first full-color images from the James Webb Space Telescope are being released on Tuesday 12 July, and we will have a mini-episode that day to show off the pictures on our video channels, including Substack!
The Cosmic Companion will return full-steam the following week, but - we are changing the schedule, so that episodes will move to Thursdays for free subscribers and the general public. VIP subscribers will continue to see episodes on Tuesdays (whenever possible).
Our new software seems pretty amazing, meaning The Cosmic Companion should look and sound better than ever before when it returns 21 July (19 July for VIP subscribers)!
On 14 June, we were planning to talk with Jason McKenna, Director of Educational Strategy at VEX Robotics. Because of our trio of challenges then, we were only able to put out the podcast version of that episode that week.
Although the rest of the episode was lost, here is the full video of that interview with Jason McKenna!
Our podcast distribution issues were solved when we moved our podcast hosting back to Substack. We have DOUBLED our number of podcast subscribers in just a week! It is great being back home here at Substack — Thank you all!
And - our website is also back better than ever! Thanks to my wonderful wife, Nicole Hennig, who is far more patient with web design than I will ever be. She writes Mobile Apps News here on Substack - check out her amazing newsletter for free!
Thanks for everything, welcome to all the new subscribers who have joined us in our exploration of the mysteries of space and time.
Clear skies,
James
VIP subscribers get a look at some of the art I have been creating while working with the new systems!
VIP EXTRAS:
Here is a collage some of the small pieces of art created over the last couple weeks, as we ready for the next phase of The Cosmic Companion.
Enjoy!
